Clamping device and test units
The N4 hardness testing clamp has a clamping device made of cast light metal with a quick-adjusting threaded spindle and a clamping toggle that enables quick and easy handling. This design ensures stability and precision during measurement.

Depending on requirements, users can choose between two main test units:

  • Test unit N1A 001 with spring sleeve, suitable for standard applications.
  • Load-adjustable test unit that enables variable load adjustment and thus offers flexibility and adaptability to specific test requirements.

The N4 hardness testing clamp is extremely versatile and supports a wide range of testing methods:

  • Rockwell method in accordance with EN ISO 6508 and ASTM E18, which comply with international standards for hardness measurements and therefore provide reliable and comparable results.
  • Non-standardized methods in Brinell HBT, in the load range from 294 to 1839 N (30-187.5 kg), which allows extended test possibilities and adaptations to special requirements.
